The Comic Appraisers is a veteran-owned and operated business founded by Robert Lewis, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, ethics professor, and lifelong comic book reader and collector. What started as a personal love for comics evolved into a lifelong passion for the stories, art, and history behind them. Drawing on his background in ethics and service, Robert built The Comic Appraisers on the principles of honesty, transparency, and professionalism—values that guide every appraisal and client interaction. His mission is to help fellow collectors understand and preserve the value of their collections with the same care and respect he’s shown for his own.
